Gambian actor appears in Norwegian-American TV series

Gambian born Norway-based actor, director and screenwriter, Momodou Lamin Touray aka Dj Lil Sisqo recently appeared in a Norwegian-American television series titled, Lilyhammer (Season 2).
The Gambian movie star also appeared in five different TV series in Norway.

“I am excited to be a part of this production of Lilyhammer. The role of “Balotelli” has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am truly grateful for the chance to portray such a diverse character,” he told Standard Lite.
Dj Lil Sisqo began his career way back first with Radio 1 FM, where he worked for almost 6 years.
At the said radio, he was responsible for interviewing both national and international artistes and was part of the marketing team.

The popular deejay-turned movie star was the voice behind most Radio adverts and was the programme leader (host) for one of the most popular shows in The Gambia.
He also worked with Mediamatic, one of the biggest TV production companies in The Gambia.
It was in 2004 when he launched his own company called 2-Rayz Syndicate. In this company he organises shows, festivals, carnivals and clubbing as well as developing plans for ceremonies and master of ceremonies for big live concerts, national events among a host of others.

Apart from being a professional actor, Momodou Lamin Touray is now studying at the University of Essex, in the United Kingdom, with Masters Degree in filmmaking.
“My films are going to hit somebody and the same time, tell the stories of many. Hard rock times, are tests for the chosen ones, to see if they are ready for their next biggest life challenges. You are one light that brightens the lives of many, so stay strong and smile bright” he added.
