The opposition Gambia Democratic Congress has made it categorically clear that it has not entered into any coalition talk with the United Democratic Party.

“There is no coalition talk between GDC and the UDP as far as we are concerned. I received information that the NPP is using it as political propaganda. But I want to tell our supporters that this is false,” the party said in a statement.

The GDC urged all its supporters and sympathisers to disregard and desist from such political propaganda.

“However, the party is at liberty to ally with any political party amid the December presidential election which shall be duly communicated to the public if there is or will be any. But, so far the GDC is yet to establish any coalition talks for the record.

“Finally, the leadership of the party is encouraged and inspired by the general supporters of the party for their peaceful nature of politicking and is urging everyone to maintain the trend of peace and stability including other parties as One Gambia One People,” the party added.
