GFF LEAGUE: (Gamtel goes top, but for how long? Biko put to the sword again)

The telecoms boys who lost their domination in the FA Cup can now step up their game to consolidate the lead no matter how slim it may look going to the last few weeks of the league.

The draw against GPA on a night when Real lost was seen as an under-achievement for the Gamtel side and the team is now poised to make maximum use of any further slip by Real.

The big shakers of the week are of course Banjul United whose consistency and giant killing form have caused concern among the top guns. They beat Real 1-0 to move to sixth place.

Elsewhere in the league, Brikama United recovered their  form, blocking the steady rise of Wallidan, beating them 1-0 while Mighty  Hawks drew 0 -0 against Samger. Interior hammered Steve Biko 4-1.

The defending champions’ slide to oblivion seems unavoidable, with the focus now on  survival.
