Methodist wins Mayor Bah’s cricket trophy

Methodist won the toss and set Albion to bat who scored 29 runs for the loss of 10 wickets all out in 7.5 overs. The highest scorer for them was Lamin Touray with 8 runs, while the highest wicket taker for Methodist Preparatory School was Bai Modou Jack who bowled 2 overs and took 4 wickets for 3 runs. 

Methodist batted next in the second innings and was able to put up these scores in 6.5 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Bai Modou Jack’s 8 runs were their highest. Alieu Marr bowled for Albion taking 3 wickets for 8 runs in 2 overs bowled.

Presenting the trophy, cricket president, Johnny Gomez, thanked all participating teams in the name of the mayor of Banjul, Abdoulie Bah, who sponsored the championship.
