The telecoms giants played a one-all draw against  Brikama United while champions Real could not pass Gambia Armed Forces who put up a spirited fight  to stop  Real from running rampant in this early stage of the league. The draws still gives them four points out of a possible six, while the FA cup holders Banjul United regained their giant killing form of last year to make an early impression beating Wallidan 2-1.

Newcomers Bombada FC collected their first three points in the top flight beating Serekunda United 1-0 at the East Park.

Mustapha Njie’s strike was enough to grab all three points for this new Brikama kids.

Interior’s game against Hawks was called off due to the absence or lateness of match officials. A source told The Standard  that the GFF organising committee meeting expected today will address the circumstances that led to that incident.
