The contempt of court trial involving the former Junta member has been struck out by the High Court presided over by justice Sainabou Wadda Cisse of the Special Criminal Division.

Yankuba Touray was charged with a single count of contempt of TRRC when he refused to testify, claiming constitutional immunity.

The case was struck out on the grounds that the Attorney General did not put his house in order in filing of the contempt of TRRC proceedings.

Mr Touray however remains in remand on a murder charge which the Attorney General intends to add to ten.
