“I am 20 years of age and a graduate of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School. I am currently a second year student at the Gambia College School of Education, pursuing a higher teacher’s certificate. I participated in the 2014 Miss Nayconf competition and came out as the third runner up .I decided to join the competition so as to gain more experience and share with my fellow youths.
My friends were very encouraging. They urged me to do well and come back home with a prize. My platform was based on empowering youths in sports and entrepreneurship because youths are key partners in nation building. So it is important to discuss how best we can help them in developing themselves.
My mum is my role model because she has toiled and moiled hard to help me achieve my dreams. I thank her for being there for me all the time.My philosophy of life is to be always good to the people I meet on my way up because I may need them on my way down”.
