IVCD donates to KMC

The International Vision for Community Development (IVCD), has donated D50,000 to the Kanifing Municipal Council to support the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
IVCD commonly called Baadugula Tuwaaxun Kompe, BTK, is a development-oriented organisation dedicated to addressing educational and socio-economic communal and national development initiatives.

It has members from across the world with its headquarters in Dippa Kunda.
Speaking at the presentation of the money at KMC last Wednesday, the IVCD country director Yaya Drammeh said his organisation recognises that the Council is working tirelessly to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

“On behalf of the board of directors, executives, ambassadors and the general membership of the International Vision for Community Development, we hereby offer our support to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic through your good office for communities around KM,” Drammeh said.

“IVCD/BTK is committed to empowering youths through sponsorship and mentoring thus complementing government’s efforts for national development. We hope this small contribution will support your effort in combating COVID-19 pandemic in the country,” he added.

Drammeh who doubles as deputy permanent secretary at ministry of finance added: “We want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work you’re doing in our communities.”
