Yankuba Colley, the Mayor of KMC and national mobiliser of the opposition Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction, APRC has said that former President Jammeh was not a signatory to any of the party’s accounts.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Colley said Jammeh never signed or interfered with APRC accounts.
In apparent response to President Barrow’s suggestion that any APRC account frozen must have connection with Jammeh, Mayor Colley added:

“I am not saying that Jammeh was not contributing anything to the party as the leader, but I want to make it very clear that all the money in those accounts was acquired through our fundraisings and contribution from party militants. Jammeh was not even funding the APRC. I also want to make it very clear that former President Jammeh is not having a butut in the APRC accounts. I want everybody to understand that all the funds in those frozen accounts were contributed by the parliamentarians and other party militants who used to dig into their salaries to contribute to the running of the party’s activities”.

On the upcoming Mayoral election, Colley said APRC is coming up with a very power candidate, “and believe it or not, we are 100% sure we will win, nothing can stop that.”
Asked whether the APRC party will bounce back in the upcoming election, he said: “We will be the next government and nothing, I say nothing can stop that from happening.”
