Man in court for attempting to rape girl, 13

Prosecution Sergeant 2250 Oley Bobb said the accused was living in the same neighbourhood with the victim and therefore the court should not grant the accused bail to avoid intimidation, recurrence of the act and interfering with witnesses. She therefore applied for an adjournment to enable her bring prosecution witnesses to the court. 

The accused who was not represented by a lawyer did not object to the prosecutor’s application for him to be remanded in custody until the matter resumes on 15 October.
