One Ansumana Darboe, a mechanic and resident of Brikama was recently arraigned before Magistrate Peter A. Che of Brikama Magistrates’ Court on a single count of rash and negligent driving causing death.
According to the prosecution represented by Sub-Inspector Bobo Jarju, the incident happened on 7 January, on the Brikama Jalanbang Highway when the accused person was testing a Mercedes C-class and lost control. He knocked down one Sissawo Fatty, who was taken to Brikama Health Centre and later pronounced dead.
The accused person, Ansumana Darboe pleaded guilty.
