The Turkish Embassy in Banjul would like to announce with satisfaction that four Gambian doctors and eight nurses will undergo a medical training programme for three weeks starting from September 8 in Turkey. This training programme will be jointly funded by the Turkish Ministry of Health and the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency.
It could be recalled that multi-agreements were signed by the governments of Turkey and The Gambia on 24 May 2014 during the first Turkey-Gambia Joint Economic Commission. These agreements, which were signed in Banjul, include funding of some health related activities and on-the-job training packages for Gambian personnel in Turkey.
