MoFA: Bazzi ceased to be Consul since April

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has yesterday issued a statement clarifying that Lebanese business tycoon Muhammed Bazzi has ceased to be Gambia’s Honorary Consul General to Lebanon since April.
According to the statement, Mr Bazzi’s appointment has since been rescinded by President Barrow who replaced him with one Khalid A Hammoud.

MOFA said the clarification becomes necessary after Bazzi, who is currently frequenting the Janneh Commission as witness allegedly claimed he is the Honorary Consul General for The Gambia in Lebanon.
