Gambia forward Yusupha Njie was on the scoresheet for FUS de Rabat who qualified to the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup after a 1-1 draw with their Moroccan rivals MAS Fèz on Saturday.

FUS won the first leg 2-1 in Rabat before Scorpions winger Njie’s goal in the 54th minute ensured they make it to the group stages of Africa’s second top club competition with a 3-2 aggregate win.

“Qualification for the group stages secured! ✔️ Pleased to have contributed with a goal ⚽️ 🙏🙌 #FUS #CAF #ALLEZFUS #YN_9,” he wrote after the game on social media.

The draw for the group stage of the 14th edition of Africa’s secondary club football competition will be held on 26 April at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Sixteen teams will be drawn into four groups of four with matches played on a home-and-away round-robin basis.
