Sainey Drammeh who spoke recently said the estimated amount will be funded by the institution, government and development partners.
“We are having a number of 2749 people that participated in the award in West Coast Region, while 896 in Kanifing Municipality, 450 in North Bank Region, 286 in Lower River Region, 247 in Banjul City Council, and 218 in Central River Region and no participant in Upper River Region in the 2014 award statistics,” he added. He said the centre has a current enrolment of 272 trainees and 265 due for graduation in April 2015 and a number of 54 staffs at the moment
Mr Drammeh while lamenting the constraints faced by his institution identified the inadequacy of mobility to carry out some of their activities and trained administration staff.
“The President’s International Award (PIA) is proud to be the Duke of Edinburgh International Award and a member of the International Award Association. The Association is made up of 63 national award bodies and 350 Independent Award Centres (IACs) in more than 140 countries and territories across the world,” he said.
