Police open investigation into alleged Mankamang Kunda murder case

The Spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force, ASP Lamin Njie has confirmed that the police have opened investigation into an alleged murder in Mankamang Kunda.

“We can confirm investigations are in progress in the case of Kumba Baldeh who was allegedly assaulted by her husband Gibi Gisseh of Makamang Kunda,” he told The Standard yesterday.

He said the case was reported last month when initial police actions were carried out.

“Kumba was treated and discharged from the Bansang Hospital while she continued her treatment. On 2 September 2019 she was readmitted at the hospital where she died on 5 September 2019,” he added.

He said Gibi Gisseh is currently helping the Police in their investigations.
