President Adama Barrow, a supporter of Wallidan Football Club who followed the team closely during his stay in Banjul, was Wednesday presented with the famous No 10 jersey worn by the late Biri- Biri, a legend of both club and country.
Another one was presented to the family of the late attacker who spent 35 years playing for Wallidan. The presentation was performed by Wallidan FC president Alieu Ceesay who told The Standard Biri had always been a family of Wallidan.
Adama Halla Samba a veteran player, coach and manager of Wallidan said the club and Biri have a long history.
Meanwhile President Barrow said at the funeral that he knew Biri as neighbor, adding that he himself is a Wallidan fan.
