Real de Banjul has relieved Coach Modou Lamin Sey of his duties, impeccable sources revealed last night. He spent exactly eight months in the job.
This development came on the heels of a domestic Cup final defeat to Hawks last weekend to cap a trophy less season.

Fondly called Elhag Sey, the coach had signed a one-year contract, with an option of extension but Real decided to aprt ways with him yesterday.

Sey was appointed Coach shortly after last year’s Real @50 anniversary football tournament.
Sey, who guided the Real to its first major FF Cup final appearance since 2002 when they lost 1 – 0 to Wallidan and 3rd position in the 2016–2017 league season, began the season with a 2-1 defeat to Brikama United before ending the campaign with yet another defeat to Hawks, who also in their own, ended an agonizing 13-year wait of a silverware to win the FF Cup trophy 7-6 on shootouts after a 1 – 1 draw.
Real de Banjul broke the news of Sey’s departure on its official Twitter
It is not clear yet who will likely replace Mr. Sey at the club next season, nor is it clear where his next destination will be. However rumours have started speculating that former Brikama United Coach Sulayman Kuyateh will likely be his possible replacement after he (Saul Kuyateh) left the Satay Ba club at the end of the 2016/17 domestic league season.
