Refs, match commissioners not affected by the Caf ban

There were concerns that the suspension which affects all Gambian categories of national teams and clubs from Caf competitions, may as well affect Gambian officials.

But yesterday, a source familiar with Caf regulations said the Gambian officials would still continue to work in world football as normal.

The Gambia’s Papa Gassama is ranked one of the three best officials in Africa and he reportedly will be among those going to Brazil next month for the World Cup while others, like Maudo Jallow and Bakary Camara officiate matches across the continent every single international day.

On the part of match commissioners, Seedy Kinteh and Adama Halla Samba are the most notable match commissioners from The Gambia.
