Seedy Drammeh publishes book on achievements of July 22nd Revolution

In an interview with The Standard, the author said: “The book titled ‘A Comparision of Development Projects of the Colonial Era, the First Republic 1965 to 1994 and Second Republic Under the APRC Government 1994 to 2014: Republic of The Gambia’, was published to show the trend of developments in The Gambia since the colonial era .The book provides information to individuals and institutions that are interested to know and compare the level of development registered in The Gambia by three administrations, Colonial, the first republic and the Second Republic.

“It was compiled following interactive and careful findings from archives where accurate data and information were obtained. The sources included different departments and institutions. The accuracy and presentation of the development projects noted and the reliability of the sources of information gathered, amid the relevant details contained in the book, attest to the trend of projects and the physical developmental projects registered during the Colonial era, the First Republic and in the Second Republic”.

Making further comments on his latest work, he added: “The book which is in pictorial form help the reader see evidence of developments in the country. One thousand (1000) copies was printed at GPPC sponsored by His Excellency, President Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh and distributed at the Independence Stadium during the celebration marking the July 22nd Revolution. The book is to let people knows the development registered in The Gambia since the colonial era.”
