This year’s edition will take a form of a street carnival that will attract thousands of residents and visitors. The cultural jamboree is expected to be filmed by the popular ‘CNN Inside Africa’ programme crew for airing on the world stage, thus, giving the local initiative an international prominence.
The event will also take a whole day of cultural display featuring over seven different cultures of the Gambian people and historical narration of the origins of Sukuta, its culture and farming.
It is a local initiative designed by Sukutarians in The Gambia and the diaspora aimed at promoting peace, good neighborliness and most importantly to deepen the understanding of their culture for the greater good of society.
The event will be graced by local dignitaries and senior government officials and heads of private institutions.
