According to SOC chairman Ba Jabbie, they have compiled a detailed report which is ready for presentation to the GFF. Though Jabbie would not disclose its content, he was generous enough to reveal that the report did not just stop at explaining what transpired during the tournament. ”We also put forward concrete recommendations which we hope, if implemented, will immensely benefit Gambian football. On when exactly will they present the report, Jabbie said they are waiting to be scheduled by the GFF secretariat. ”Once we get the nod from Football House we will move in to deliver the report.
The Standard yesterday understood from other sources that SOC is intending to play a more pro-active role in the GFF’s strategic plan to develop infrastructure in the zones. The committee announced at the end of the competition that it will plough back some of its revenue to refurbish facilities at some of the zones.
