Swe-Gam donates to GFRS

The Gambia Fire and Rescue Services on 16th September received donations from the CEO of Swe-Gam company. The donated items included a borehole with capacity to refill a fire engine within 10 minutes and other mechanical tools and a concrete spreader machine.

In his opening remarks, the manager of Swe-Gam, Mr Ebrima Cole, thanked the GFRS staff for their sacrifice in preventing and responding to fire and rescue incidents across the country. Last month, Mr Cole donated a fire truck to GFRS.

The deputy chief fire officer, Lamin Sanyang, thanked Mr Cole for the donated items and assured him the equipment will be put to the best use.

DCFO Sanyang expressed his hope that his institution will continue to collaborate with Swe-Gam in future endeavours.

Mr Abubacarr Gibba, the senior assistant secretary at the Ministry for the Interior, thanked Mr Cole and his company for “the benevolent support” to GFRS.

Mr Gibba underscored the ministry’s relentless efforts to provide safety and security for citizens and residents at all times.

He further thanked President Adama Barrow for the support and for creating the enabling environment for peace and security for all.
