Almami Fanding Taal, who was recently dismissed as head of the legal and compliance unit at the OIC Gambia Secretariat, has hinted that he is considering seeking redress in the courts. Speaking to The Standard yesterday Mr Taal said he is consulting his lawyer on the possibility of taking the matter to court. Asked about reports that he was stopped by police from entering the OIC premises at Petroleum House Brusubi, on Friday, Mr Taal said there was a heavy deployment of PIU officers to prevent him entering but that he did not attempt to go there on the advice of his lawyer. Mr Taal who is also the spokesman of the UDP got his sacking last week reportedly from the Office of the President. The OIC Gambia Secretariat is the institution tasked to run the activities relating to the hosting of the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation OIC in Banjul later this year.]]>
