Takeley Christian School in the UK has recently handed over some learning materials to Bakau Lower Basic School.
The handing over ceremony was held at the school premises and the donated materials included clothes, books, and toys, among other items.
Speaking at the ceremony, the headmaster of the school, Saihou Ceesay, thanked Takeley Christian School Principal Emlym for the noble gesture. He said the materials will improve teaching and learning in the school. “I am more than the word impressed about the gifts we have received from Takeley Christian School,” he said.
“The school is lacking furniture like tables and chairs for the children. That’s is our major problem and also school stationery like pencils, pens, exercise books and also A4 paper for the teachers’ record,” he added, “Our students are very grateful and thankful for the donation they have received. This will serve them for a very long time.”
