According to the GFF statement the signing ceremony will take place at Football House at mid-day today between the GFF, Fifa and the contractor.
The NTTC is the first Fifa Goal project in The Gambia and was officially opened and operational in 2004/05.
“The signing ceremony will be a landmark step in the new GFF leadership’s agenda as it will be the first major project implementation by Fifa under the Lamin Kabba Bajo led administration”, the release concluded. The signing was initially set for January 26 under the supervision of Fifa development officer Sampon Kablan who unfortunately could not travel to Banjul on the proposed date.
The centre is housed in a vast piece of land capable of holding three football pitches, one of which is already fitted with an artificial turf.
The buildings consist of a hostel, school of excellence, halls for conferences and seminars and offices for the GFF technical department as well as a restaurant.
