Ten customers, others get rewards from BBL

At a ceremony attended by staff and management of Banjul Breweries and customers at the institution’s head office in Kanifing, the factory also rewarded fifteen of its staff for their diligence and hard work. Eric Gilson, managing director of Banjul Breweries, speaking after the presentation, said the event was aimed at rewarding loyal customers that have stood with the brand throughout 2014. According to him, awarding the customers is a unique way of giving something back to the consumers after an exciting year. “We are really excited and happy to organise an event like this to give back to our customers after what was a very exciting year for the company. I want to thank all the customers of Banjul Breweries for their outstanding patronage throughout the year and we hope that we can strengthen this partnership further. For her part, Fatou Sinyan Mbergan, secretary general of Banjul Breweries said that as a responsible company, it will not shirk its responsibility of ensuring that it engages in a win-win relationship with its customers and distributors. She said this has gone a long way in creating an atmosphere of progress in spite of challenges. “I want to thank all our customers for their support because our relations with them have been quite fruitful. I want to assure you of our support and also to the staff, I want to say we are here to support and motivate you. The company is where it is today because of your hard work and diligence. We are behind you always.” Country Sales Manager, Bori Darboe in his speech said: “Banjul Breweries proactive in terms of motivating its staff as a way of getting the best out of them. We have a lot of surprises ahead and we just count on your usual cooperation and support. And to our esteemed customers, I want to thank you for your support because since day one, you have been behind us and we will also make sure that we reward you as part of our corporate responsibilities.” Osei Badu, secretary general of the company’s wholesalers association and Muhammad Jabbie who won the company’s best wholesale partner in 2014.  Prizes distributed included rams, DVD players, TVs, and bags of rice.
