Thousands of people yesterday turned up at the Banjul International Airport and on the roads to welcome President Adama Barrow returning from the pilgrimage in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
From the tarmac where his plane landed late morning, the President received a rousing welcome with thousands waving and shouting out prayers for him on his pilgrimage.

He was accompanied by several other ‘Alhagies’ in the delegation namely Ousainou Darboe, Hamat Bah Mai Fatty, among others. From the airport, the president drove to his residence where larger crowds gathered too to welcome him.
