Five days after their initial visit to the NIA, now renamed SIS, investigators at the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission yesterday stormed the premises, seizing volumes of documents and locking up at least one office.
According to reliable sources, the team of TRRC investigators gave no warnings and was following up work it started Friday, when a larger team visited the premises, notorious for being the epicenter of gross human rights abuses during the Jammeh regime.
There has not been any immediate comment from TRRC on the latest development but a source within the NIA confirmed the raid.
