Jatta met deputy vice chancellor Dr Omar Jah Jr, UTGSA president Mr Yorro Njie and other senior officials .
The visiting Taekwondo specialist was impressed with the establishment of a sports association at the UTG saying the move is crucial to promoting sports education in The Gambia. Mr Jatta promised among other things to revive the dormant UTG Taekwondo Club and to help build a good university team for future World University Games and championships.
He also pledged support to the UTG through material donations, technical trainings and fostering linkage and collaboration between UTG and Universities in Sweden.
Dr Jah and other senior officials all expressed delight at Mr Jatta’s visit.
“The UTG will support any form of sports that brings moral values to the Gambian people”, Dr Jah said.
