Gambia Football Federation presidential aspirants Omar Danso and Buba Mbye Bojang have both indicated that their teams are still open to the inter-camp dialogue.
The preliminary talks collapsed shortly before the nominations closed with the Kebbeh camp alleging that the Ministry of Youth and Sports, MoYs, had refused to accept a Kebbeh-led line-up agreed by negotiators. MoYS has opted not to comment of the GFF electoral process. However the spirit of negotiations seem to be alive among the Kebbeh supporters
Speaking at joint press conferences Tuesday Allhagie Darboe, a leading figure in the Kebbeh camp and an official of Brikama United FC who chaired the conference, announced that both campaigns are willing to engage with all parties interested in any dialogue over the political future of the GFF.
In another development Mr Darboe also disclosed that the teams of Danso and Bojang will meet to possibly stage a joint launching of their campaigns tomorrow Friday at the Serekunda East Park. He refused to categorically state that the two campaigns will eventually back one candidate but there are strong indications that that may well be the case on Friday as both teams belong to the larger Kebbeh camp.]]>
