Windstorm leaves village roofless

But despite the violent winds blowing away the roofs of all the houses, miraculously, there were no fatalities or even serious injuries. 

The alkalo said the 1,400 residents of the village are now sheltered in schools with some staying with relatives in eighbouring villages. The village has 95 homes.

He appealed: “We are begging the government, individuals and organisations to come to our aid. People are without roofs over their heads and for that I would like to solicit support on their behalf so that they can return back to their homes and rebuild their lives.”
