Kunjo proved the surprise package beating off tough opposition right down to the final. Their latest victim in the semis was neighbouring Bambali whom they beat 2-1 on Friday. Yallal sent signals of their ambition to retain their title beating Kani Kunda 3-1 victory on Saturday to reach their second final in a row. But will it be another title for Yallal?
When the two sides met in the group stages it was Yallal who carried the day 1-0. Consequently, they will not entertain fear against Kunjo in the final scheduled for sometime next month.
Abdou Secka, executive member of the organising committee said elaborate preparations are being made for the final expected to be a red-letter day in the history of Sanjal.
Yago Ceesay, another executive member praised the peaceful nature of the tourney and congratulated Yallal and Kunjo on their good showing and wished them luck in the final. Though the date for the final is yet to be set, the whole district is awash with excitement in anticipation of a fitting climax to this most loved tourney.
