4 arraigned for allegedly stealing items worth over D7M

Cherno Ngum, Alasana Krubally, Alieu Tangara, and Yankuba Tangara were yesterday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts; conspiring to commit a felony, breaking into a building and stealing valuable items worth over 7 million dalasis.

The four accused pleaded not guilty before Principal Magistrate Isatou Janneh-Njie.

The accused are granted bail on the sum of 2 million dalasis each, and a title deed equivalent to same amount with a Gambian surety.

According to the charge, the four conspired to break into one Kutubo Jahally Touray’s property and stole items worth D7, 754, 913. 2.

Some of the said items stolen included cash in different currencies, gold stone, gold power, gold chain and diamond among other things.
