Seedy Njie, spokesman of the opposition APRC has told The Standard that his party is not and will not be part of the current printing and distribution of the ‘Gambia Has Regretted’ t-shirts that are doing the rounds, especially on social media.
“We as a party have not even set eyes on the T-Shirts and we too are hearing about it. But we have made it clear and want to state here that we are not and will not be part of that campaign. The APRC has enough party colours, emblems and images and have no need for such a thing,” he told The Standard.
Njie maintained that the so-called ‘Gambia has regretted’ t-shirts is not among APRC campaign paraphernalia and he wants all militants to take note of that.
Meanwhile Mr Njie confirmed that the APRC will stage a big political rally at the Buffer Zone Saturday. ”This is our 50, 000 rally and we intend to make it the biggest ever political rally in this country,” he said. Njie said the rally will be peaceful and orderly as all APRC supporters have been well advised to be law abiding at all times in the exercise of their democratic rights.
