But according to the paper, Barrow has refused to commit his future to any of the two countries at senior level.

“I still have the choice if I get Gambia or Sweden when it comes to the A team later.

So we’ll see what happens,”Barrow said.

Modou Barrow moved from Sweden to the Premier League side Swansea who recently loaned him to Nottingham.

Now that he has citizenship in both Sweden and The Gambia, he is free to play for both countries until he features in the A side of one of them.

Ebou Faye, Second Vice President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), said every one’s hope is that Barrow chooses Gambia at the senior level. That hope is still there since he is only going to play at U21 level.
