The minister of Tourism and Culture Hamat Bah, has said with the exception of Justice Minister Abubacarr Tambadou, all cabinet ministers should come on board and do politics for President Adama Barrow.

Hamat reminded cabinet colleagues that they “cannot be ministers without doing politics. We are looking for ministers that can do politics to brace up for 2021 because it will not be determined by power and force but with right strategy and broad mindset. We are where we are today because of politics. Let us not deceive each other; if others are doing their politics and nothing comes out of it, why should we not do our politics?” Hamat said at a meeting in Fass on Day One of the President’s meet the people tour.

The minister, who is also the head of the National Reconciliation Party, a member of the governing Coalition 2016, however stated the time for politics is not yet but when it comes whether President Barrow likes it or not they will establish a party and make him a leader in 2021.

“We are on meet the people’s tour but all of you are aware that even though it is not yet time for politics, there are people already doing politics both day and night. So we the people behind Adama Barrow will not sit by and watch. We will also do our politics,” Mr Bah said.
