Rising Gambian Afro-beat star, Bobo Dimoo is set to officially release his new single on social media and radio stations across the country today, Friday.
Recorded at Sunland Music, the new single titled –Tanyango will be part of his upcoming 8-track album.
The much-anticipated album will feature the likes of renowned Senegalese acts such as Wally Secka, Viviane Chedid and Ida Samb.
Commenting on the new single, he said: “The piece is one of the hit songs in my upcoming album. Basically, the lyrics are focused on the good qualities a woman should have in order to be loved. I earlier released an Extended Play, which was a collection of my singles.
“Each song has been given quality production. It has been hard and a long way but the fans have been patient with us. Now the light is shining as we are able to take Gambian music across the border. Also this time around I will be coming with more performances and new dance moves as well”, he told Standard Lite.
Renowned for his melodious songs, Bobo Dimoo features and samples traditional beats and cultural themes in his music.
