Presidential candidate Buba Mbye Boiang, an official of Brikama United Football Club, yesterday told The Standard that his campaign will start proper after a planned joint press conference with fellow aspirant Omar Danso.
He was responding to questions as to when he will come forward with his manifesto and programme after rival Kaba Bajo presented his.
“Everything will start after this joint press conference because I and Omar share common grounds in many areas and we would both start our separate campaigns after that perhaps,” he noted.
Bojang said the planned press conference is slated for today at 17hrs at the Serekunda East Park. Bojang is one of the three candidates cleared by the Normalisation Committee to contest the September 20 elections. His ally in the last elections Mustapha kebbeh was blocked from running.
Meanwhile, candidate Omar Danso, an official of the Kanifing Municipal Regional Football Association and Serekunda Central zone has also confirmed he will team up with Buba Bojang to address the nation on issues concerning their campaign. He refused to be dragged to answer questions as to whether he might consider quitting the race to back Bojang since they are both from the same camp.]]>
