Detained former prisons boss David Colley has been charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the death of Baba Jobe, a former APRC whip in the national assembly.
According to police sources, Mr Colley has also been charged with abuse of office and has been granted bail.
The dramatic development started last Wednesday when the former powerful prison boss was arrested by police and detained at the Kairaba Police Station.
Baba Jobe was imprisoned in 2004 for ten years for economic crime and was reported to have completed his term before his death even though he was still in custody.
