Former army chief Ousman Bargie has been appointed military attaché to China, President Adama Barrow has confirmed to journalists last Tuesday.
Former CDS Bargie was first appointed as deputy ambassador to Cuba but that appointment was later rescinded prior to his departure.
“But we have now appointed him as a military attaché’ to China. That has already been confirmed and endorsed, he will soon leave for China,” the Gambian leader said.
