The Ndowen Family Charity Foundation recently donated medical items to the Serekunda General Hospital’s maternity ward.
The items include, mosquito nets, pads, gloves, bed sheets, Macintosh dressing materials, baby clothes, forceps, cordclips and delivery kits.
Speaking at the presentation, Alhagi Matarr Ndow, the father of the charity, said the charity was formed in 2019 with an objective of helping the needy, especially in the health sector to complement government’s efforts.

” We started it last year when we donated sugar during the month Ramadan and are working to make it even bigger and much regularly,” Mr Ndow said.
Other speakers included Ansumana Ndow, president of the foundation and Marie Ndow Joof, vice president.
