GACH gives D1.7M police station to Basse PIU

The Gambia Angola China Holding (GACH) chief executive officer has sponsored a 1.7 million dalasi police station project for the PIU in Basse.
Abubacarr Jawara laid the foundation stone in Basse Thursday.

Essa Badjie, Commissioner of Upper River Region Police Intervention Unit (PIU), expressed delight about the project saying this would be first of its kind in the region compared only to Kanifing PIU station.

Speaking on behalf of Abubacarr Jawara, National Assembly member Hon Billay G Tunkara, said Jawara is always committed to national development and has undertaken several other projects in the region such as rice projects in Kosemar, Basse Dampha Kunda, Sotuma Samba among others.
The Inspector General of Police, Mamour Jobe thanked Mr Jawara and his company for the support.
