Sohna Bah, believed to be from Kiang was recently stabbed for the second time allegedly by the same man, one Samba Ceesay from Jarra Misira.

According to family sources, Sohna sustained severe injuries on her chest, stomach, and leg from the latest attack on 27 September.

Her family confirmed that this is the second time of a similar attack on her by the same suspect.
The first attack was in June when the same man stabbed her in the head and fled the country reportedly on a police bail.

The reason for the attacks is not clear but Sohna’s family believes it is connected to their decision to marry her to a man other than the suspect.
Meanwhile, the relatives of Sohna have expressed disappointment with the police on the manner the case was handled.

“We are not aware of any arrest of the boy or his bail surety. We are disappointed with the decision to grant him bail after committing such a crime and fleeing the country for months,” one of her uncles complained to The Standard.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Foday Conta said he was yet to receive information regarding this case. He however promised to work with the victim’s family to ensure that justice is served and promptly.
