Ousman Bah, the corporate and public affairs officer of the Gambia Revenue Authority while commiserating with the Trawally family expressed shock at the death of his former boss.
He told The Standard yesterday: “Yes it true that he passed away on Friday at about 11pm. His remains were interred at Latrikunda Sabiji. He is one of the greatest commissioner generals of the Gambia Revenue Authority. He was a formidable person who knew customs and revenue. He had worked with GRA for the past thirty years and was a huge resource to the nation. It is a great loss because he had done a lot for the nation. We share the loss with the family, the government and the entire Gambian populace. We pray for his eternal rest in peace.”
The deceased who served in different positions at GRA had been battling ill-health for the past few months.
During the course of his sickness, Yankuba Darboe has been entrusted with his position serving as acting commissioner general.]]>
