Half way into Brikama nawettan

Brikama nawettan gets down to brass tacks now with group matches in the league championship completed yesterday. The 16 teams that made the cut to progress to the round of 16 include the usual suspects: Amasa (owned by business tycoon Amadou Samba), Berewuleng, Nema Youths and Skypower and among others. But a notable casualty is Chimo FC, last year’s knockout champions who surprisingly finished bottom of their group in the current league and must now play qualifiers next season.

Meanwhile, the organising committee has drawn up the fixtures of the first round of the knockout championship. It features great meeting on October 12 as Berewuleng takes on Skypower among other intriguing match ups. Below is the full knockout fixture first round.
