I was born and raised in the United States and I am 19 years of age. I am currently attending La Guardia College with an eye on a major in nursing. I want to be a paediatric nurse.
I host a radio programme on Radio Soninkara in the USA which targets people from four countries; Mali, The Gambia, Senegal and Mauritania. We talk about issues affecting our community for a better and positive change.
We seek advice from parents on issues related to education, good behavioural change and other important issues. We also try to get the community involved in many ways by sharing their thoughts. We once had a Qur’anic and hadith recitation on the radio and it was the most successful programme ever hosted because we had many recommendations from ours keen listeners. My philosophy of life is obeying Allah which I believe will pay dividends in the long run.
