The Islamic Awakening Association based in the diaspora recently made a donation of food items to four communities in Kombo East as part of support to vulnerable communities in the observance of the holy month of Ramadan.
The beneficiary communities are Busura, Dimbaya, Marakissa and Darsilameh with the beneficiary families each receiving a bag of rice, gallon of cooking oil and onions among other basic commodities.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the president of association Dr. Kebba Cessay dwelled on the significance of the forum, adding that his association was committed in assisting needy people.
Amadou Jawo, member of the association, said a good Muslim should always give charity.
