Gambia football federation GFF president aspirant Sadibou Kamaso has announced that when elected in August, he will among other things, plough back the resources meant for football to footballers who toil on the pitch every week to play the league. Presenting his manifesto on Saturday, Kamaso said if elected, a record D1.5 million will be paid to any team that wins the GFF league title, D750, 000 for the runners- up, while the third place will get D500,000.
Additionally, according to Kamaso the FF Cup winner will get D1million while the runners –up will receive D500,000.
The Kamaso Campaign then outlined its 11 points programme called the Starling X1 as follows:
1. Improved and accountable governance;
2. Sustainable infrastructural development – projects/allied associations and Fifa structures;
3. League development and professionalisation;
4. Grassroots football regularisation and development;
