Lixen waxing stronger in Gambia’s dancehall scene

With a career spanning for over a decade now, Lixen Khan is indisputably one of The Gambia’s promising dancehall artistes.
The golden voice singer, who began his musical career with the famous Frontline Crew in Brikama alongside Benjamin, is widely credited for his captivating and energetic stage acts.
Since the launch of his Unification is the Power masterpiece, the young star remains focused and looks up to the future of his career. Unification is the Power, received warm reception from the audience as it became a fans’ favourite.

The golden voice singer, who remains active promoting Jah message and positivity, over the year, has gained wider recognition for his bold move using his music to unite people.
In 2017 he embarked on a three-month tour that took him to different destinations in Europe, notably The Netherlands, Germany and Austria, to promote positivity through reggae. The response from his fans in these countries was just phenomenal as some fans in that part of the world have heard a lot about this talented songster.

Due to his perfect and energetic performance especially with a live band in the past, Lixen has been constantly on the artiste list at the annual Open Mic Festival.
Some of his hits include; ‘I wish Mama, Never Blame, Unification is the Power, Pretty Girl and Party Turn up’, some of which are hits on the country’s music circle.
Currently working on numerous projects that include the release of his Extended Play EP, the young dancehall sensation remains optimistic about his musical career.
